In his last 9 years as Head Coach of the Saints, Sean Payton has finished with the same record 3 times each. 7-9 3 times 11-5 3 times 13-3 3 times So far this year, the Saints are 4-1. Will the trend continue?

I dunno, if he’s cooking some of that good shit I see down in the food thread I’ll call him that.

See, to the people who say Gruden won with Dungy's team, I always rebute with, "Then, Callahan took Gruden's team to the same Super Bowl. Can't have it one way without the other..." Tampa won that Champ fair and square simply with better coaching. Same as the Saints have right now; same as Falcons are SEVERELY lacking...

Smart for the Saints and their DC Dumb for the Cowboys and their OC No coincidence the Cowboys are now on a 2 game losing streak and are losing when they play against good teams and aren't feasting on NFL's worst.

I'll pass. That was a nightmare. Dante Fowler and Barrett destroyed him lol Our 2nd rounder Greg Little this year is our starting LT but he has a concussion currently so our 6th round pick this year Dennis Daley is starting. He was solid in his first start last week against the Jags. Way better than Williams. Daryl Williams is better on the right side. His real position is RT but our starting RT Taylor Moton is better than him at that so now he's a backup. Right now tho, Williams is filling in for our Pro Bowl RG Trai Turner while he has an injury. Turner might be back this week but who knows. Williams was much better at RG than LT this past week.

Interesting... https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/10/08/saints-got-clues-to-cowboys-offense-from-kellen-moores-boise-state-tape/ The Saints’ defense had an impressive performance against the Cowboys’ offense last week, and they studied Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore’s college playing days to do it. Saints players told Steve Wyche of NFL Network that they went back to Boise State tape from Moore’s years as the quarterback there to see what kinds of hand signals he used. The Saints then found that Moore uses some of the same signals when calling the Cowboys’ offense, and those tendencies helped the Saints shut down the Cowboys. Moore was Boise State’s starting quarterback from 2008 to 2011. It’s surprising that he’s still using the hand signals, and impressive that the Saints were able to decipher them successfully. Also surprising, however, is that the Saints would reveal what they learned publicly. The Saints and Cowboys could meet again in the playoffs, so why would the Saints want the Cowboys to know what they’ve learned. The Cowboys, meanwhile, won’t be happy with this news. After the Cowboys’ playoff loss to the Rams last year, Dallas head coach Jason Garrett disputed suggestions that the Rams’ offense was picking up on the Cowboys’ defensive line calls. Now they’re again hearing that another team knew what was coming.

Changing your communication methods midseason will take away precious gameplanning time and cause confusion amongst players and coaches.
  38. 1 point
Yep, which is why the Cowboys are fucked. Expect Skip Bayless to be on bitching and excuse mode for the rest of the season

Well if the Packers were aware of it as well, then it's just plain ignorance and stupidity of the Cowboys to lack the thought of their playcalling system routine being easily picked by opposing teams with intelligent coaches. That's one reason why you see most HCs or coordinators cover their mouths on the sidelines when making a call. I also thought that hand signalling out in the open was dying out during an era of footage being everywhere.

Putin is a tyrant but somehow it works for them LOL...they love that motherfucker. I actually wish we would engage dialogue with them and open up their markets. That is a gold mine waiting to happen but the entrenched narrative against them is not going to allow it in this present political climate .

Davis also used the post to commend the children at St. Louis King of France Catholic School, who made their own versions of Davis’ headband and wore them to school on Tuesday. Davis was told of the fine on the Saturday following the Week 3 game, later telling The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate that he wasn’t aware that the headband constituted a uniform violation. "Of course you don't want to be fined," Davis said last week. ”Nobody wants to lose money but I think any time that the conversation about God is brought up, especially in these times, I think it's always a positive or silver lining. If he can get glory from it, I think he can get glory from it whether I personally wear the headband or don't wear the headband. He's always gonna be in control of the whole situation. We're still all good." The league fines players and coaches for several things, including uniform violations. According to the league's fine schedule, "personal messages" on uniforms are subject to fines. The minimum fine for a first offense is $7,017, while a the minimum fine for a second offense is $14,037. After receiving notice of the fine, Davis announced that he would be selling the headbands with 100 percent of the profits going to St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. In Tuesday’s Instagram post, Davis said fans have raised more than $30,000 for the hospital. ”That means y’all helped me turn a $7,000 negative into an almost $40,000 positive, benefitting people who truly need it,” Davis wrote.

A team has never went 1-4 while making a change at HC and still make the playoffs. Best to ride this bitch on out and possibly end up with a top pick because this team is fucking awful.

You're right. New Orleans is a football city and the Saints are Kings in this town. The city is every bit as passionate about the Saints as Packers fans about their team. Monday mornings in town are directly tied to the Saints either winning or losing on Sunday. Walk into any business or coffee shop and you need to be prepared to discuss the Saints. Every day the local newspaper covers the team, and that includes the off-season. We have talk radio shows dedicated to Saints football. You cannot walk the streets in town or at the local mall and not see people wearing Saints apparel, and lots of them. At Christmas time, one of the best gifts you can get/give is a new Saints jersey. The Saints season ticket waiting list is over 100,000+. The town also tracks our biggest rival, the Falcons. Nobody here gives a shit about the Panthers or the Bucs. But we love to hate the Falcons. The rivalry is absolutely real.
