We just wanted to be able to review illegal contact.

Seriously though, this is fucked up and ain't got shit to do with the game. Fire ANYBODY involved in this and ban them from the sport. Full stop. That's all I'm gonna say.

Yeah, don't understand why in the fuck would they get involved with this.

Just because the team's name is the Saints, doesn't mean they should be tied directly with churches and their dealings.

Yup. Bensons were pretty huge catholics though.

If there's any involvement, football aside they need to be in trouble with the law.

I get being very faithful, but they needed to be smarter knowing that they had much to potentially lose with also tarnishing and embarrassing their brand and fans.

Without y'all Saints fans, they are nothing.

I agree with DD, this isn't a good look. Football is a sport, this is people lives. This is fucked up, and fuck anyone in the organization that had anything to do with this cover up.

Theoretically Gayle could lose the team over this. No one in NO can support that team to buy it.

Yep, especially if she and others involved with the Saints are proven to be deeper into it after further investigation.

Ties between local church leaders and the Saints include a close friendship between New Orleans Archbishop Gregory Aymond and Gayle Benson, who inherited the Saints and the New Orleans Pelicans basketball team when her husband, Tom Benson, died in 2018. The archbishop was at Gayle Benson’s side as she walked in the funeral procession.

Gayle Benson has given millions of dollars to Catholic institutions in the New Orleans area, and the archbishop is a regular guest of hers at games and charitable events for the church.

Attorneys for the men suing the church say “multiple” Saints personnel, including Senior Vice President of Communications Greg Bensel, used their team email to advise church officials on “messaging” and how to soften the impact of the archdiocese’s release of a list of clergy members “credibly accused” of sexual abuse.

“The information at issue bears a relationship to these crimes because it is a continuation of the Archdiocese’s pattern and practice of concealing its crimes so that the public does not discover its criminal behavior,” the plaintiffs’ attorneys wrote. “And the Saints joined in.”

If the NFL used Jerry Richardson as an example, then I believe Gayle Benson may be forced to sell the Saints soon after the investigation is done.

Saints put out a statement. Should be easy to prove in court one way or another. The fact that they are trying to hide something tells me its not just that

"The advice was simple and never wavering. Be direct, open and fully transparent, while making sure that all law enforcement agencies were alerted."

Don't say shit, don't provide witnesses, and don't release any documents related to the allegations. Fuck how it looks, it's what you can prove....and they can't prove shit if you don't give them shit.

Regardless....its pretty open and shut of what actually happen seeing as they have a trail of emails. If what they said was true easy to prove...if they are full of shit...also easy.

I dont put anyones stupidity past them. If the Saints were this dumb they deserve to have the team taken away.

Damn what a disgusting fn franchise, this was the owners doing as she is a huge Catholic and close with the archbishop. What's even more disgusting are the saints executives that helped the owner cover up for these pedaphiles. Then they all tried to cover up the cover up.

They should have got rid of this disgusting shit stain of a franchise in the paper bag wearing days.

Owner needs to get banned and the new owner needs to move to a half decent city
